2009 Program

Thank you...

Thank you to the Santa Cruz community and our out-of-town attendees for rallying to support the 2009 Santa Cruz Film Festival. Though we started off concerned about the future of the festival, we were very encouraged by this year's turnout. We screened 46 programs from May 7 through 15 to enthusiastic audiences, and are happy to announce that we will be back again next year. To every person who bought a ticket or a pass and participated, your involvement and interest renewed our belief that art can save lives.

Our films this year included a stellar collection of 120 films from 29 countries. These works of art explored a diverse cross-section of human and environmental issues that enlightened and entertained.

We thank the filmmakers for their inspired vision and for those who made the trek to Santa Cruz a joyful celebration.

Deep gratitude goes to the SCFF Board of Directors, our amazing staff, our sponsors, talented press and the volunteers who gave their time and energy to support our labor of love. We work tirelessly all year long to present a festival that we ALL can take pride in.

Thank you for joining us for those nine days in May.

In unity and much gratitude,

Jane
